Jane Lee

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) University of London, England
Year of Commencing Practise: 2018

Jane joined the firm in 2024 and has spent most of her legal career practising in the areas of conveyancing, banking and corporate financing. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Associate at Messrs. Naziq & Partners, where her practice was focused primarily on the property industry including advising on and preparing documentation for long-term leases and other high-value real-estate asset acquisitions by both Malaysian and foreign clients.

She is proficient in dealing with laws, regulation and drafting of documents for both conventional and Islamic banking and financing. Her corporate financing experience includes the drafting and preparation of all documents for corporate financing for an Islamic banking based short-term revolving credit facility of RM20 million.

Jane has also handled loan documentation and disbursement of funds particularly for the housing industry including matters involving the Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA).

Jane began her career at the firm of Messrs. Majid & Chen handling banking and real estate transactions. Her client base included major banks and financial institutions.

Originally from Penang, Jane read in chambers at Messrs. Pupillage at Shahrizat Rashid & Lee in Penang. She later moved to Kuala Lumpur.

Jane is proficient in English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and Hokkien.

Mary Beth Dass

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) University of Belfast, Northern Ireland
Year of Commencing Practise: 2022

Mary Beth’s areas of focus include corporate restructuring involving investments, debts and acquisition exercises. She assists in matters involving corporate acquisitions of real estate as well as general corporate advisory matters.

Mary Beth joined the firm as a pupil under Yogeswaran Balakrishnan in 2021. 

Prior to joining Bock + Partners, Mary Beth served as Co-Director in the Marketing and Communications Department at Women for Refugees. From time to time, she continues to pursue her interest in social activism by volunteering and providing support to organisations that provide access to legal advice to the marginalised communities within the Kuala Lumpur region. 

Mary Beth was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2021. She is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.

Lee Ee Von

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (Second Class Upper Division) University of Belfast, Northern Ireland
Year of Commencing Practise: 2022

Ee Von assists on matters involving shareholder disputes, corporate restructuring, legal due diligence exercises and general corporate advisory under the supervision of Yap Lay Hoon.

At this point in her career, her emphasis is on getting as much exposure and experience in the different areas of corporate law. She aims to be solution-oriented and enjoys exploring innovative ways to solve client’s issues.

She is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and started her career with the firm as a chambering student.

In her spare time, she enjoys sports and has recently taken up pickleball.

Joshua Mohan

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (Second Class Upper Division) University of Hertfordshire, England
Year of Commencing Practise: 2022

Since being called to the Bar, Joshua has practised as a litigator primarily handling banking, family law and probate work. He currently works mainly under the supervision of Sharmini Ganeshan. He looks forward to the challenge of mastering the complexities of corporate work and has a keen interest in mediation and arbitration.

He read in chambers at the firm of Messrs. Thurairaj T. Kumar & Associates upon obtaining the Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board.

Joshua is a fan of dessert and mystery novels.

He is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and has spoken proficiency in Cantonese.

Benjamin Yow

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England
Year of Commencing Practise: 2022

Benjamin has experience both as a litigator primarily dealing with contractual disputes and torts and as in-house counsel with a company in the construction industry. Upon obtaining the Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board he read in chambers with Messrs. Bodipalar, Ponnudurai & De Silva.

He currently works under the supervision of Sharmini Ganeshan on various aspects of corporate law including restructuring exercises and general advisory on corporate matters.

Benjamin is an extreme sport enthusiast who enjoys the challenge of pushing his limits.

He is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Pirassad Vesunathan

Education: Bachelor of Laws (Hons) University of London, England

As a mature student, Pirassad worked while pursuing his academic and professional qualifications to achieve his goal of becoming a lawyer. Pirassad read in chambers at Messrs. Kean Chai & Sivalingam in Ipoh, where he gained exposure to commercial litigation and corporate work. He currently assists in various aspects of corporate law, including but not limited to, shareholder disputes under the supervision of Sharmini Ganeshan.

He is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Pirassad also has a keen interest in social work.

He is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Tamil.
